The Western Disturbance as an upper air trough lies over northern parts of Pakistan and adjoining parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan and adjoining parts of West Rajasthan.
The cyclonic circulation persists over Central Assam and adjoining region. An upper air trough is extending from Gulf of Mannar to Telangana across Interior Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema.
Weather Activity in last 24 hours
Moderate rain and thundershower with isolated hailstorm activity occurred over Sikkim, West Assam and Gangetic West Bengal. Light rain and thundershowers occurred over rest northeastern states, Odisha, West Bengal, parts of Jharkhand, North Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and South Chhattisgarh. Light to moderate fog prevailed over many parts of South Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and in pockets of northeastern states. Dry weather prevailed over rest parts of India, with significant fall in minimums over North and Central parts of the country.

Moderate to heavy rain and snow will occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Hailstorm may also occur over plains of these states. Light rain and thundershowers with isolated hailstorm are likely over Punjab, North Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and northeastern states. Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu may also witness light rain and thundershower activities. Light to moderate fog will continue during early morning hours in pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, North Jharkhand and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
