Weather Systems across the Country

The Low-Pressure Area has become less marked and the associated Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Southeast Uttar Pradesh and Northeast Madhya Pradesh. Another Cyclonic Circulation is over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha coast. The Axis of Monsoon Trough is extending from central Uttar Pradesh to Northeast Bay of Bengal across Cyclonic Circulation over Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and over the Cyclonic Circulation over North Odisha. A Cyclonic Circulation is over the Saurashtra region. One more Cyclonic Circulation is over East Vidarbha at mid-levels. Another Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan.

Weather Activity during the last 24 hours

During the last 24 hours, light to moderate with one or two heavy spells occurred over North Chhattisgarh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Southeast Uttar Pradesh, North Odisha coast, Gangetic West Bengal, isolated pockets of Vidarbha and North Telangana, Kerala, parts of Coastal Karnataka and Andaman and the Nicobar Islands. Scattered light to moderate rains occurred over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, parts of Delhi, rest Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, rest Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan, and Goa. Scattered light rains with one or two moderate spells were seen in Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Marathwada, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate with one or two heavy spells are likely over West Madhya Pradesh, adjoining Southeast Rajasthan, parts of Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal, parts of Coastal Karnataka and Kerala along with Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Scattered light to moderate rains are likely over parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, rest Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, rest Odisha, parts of Jharkhand, coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, and Interior Tamil Nadu. Weather will remain dry over West Punjab, West Haryana, West Rajasthan, and Kutch. Rest all places may receive scattered light rains with one or two moderate spells.
